When shopping for a backup camera, I look for compact, easy to operate, and also one that has a ton of features. I use for my daily commute and therefore needed a camera that could be used just by looking in the mirror, and not requiring any fiddling around with buttons.

This camera is simply brilliant!

In fact, I have been using this Amazon Echo Show as one of my dash cam's for the past few months, and considering I've traveled across the country with it, this camera has been able to record everything, including streams, and every occasion, including those crazy skiing moments where I was totally unaware of what is ahead of me on the road.

And still, this little beauty fits under the mirror nicely and I even use it without the light on the front. The backlight is bright enough to shine through the mirror, but you don't need to use it at night.

The feature I love most about the camera is its user-friendly touch screen interface. I find the volume and shutter button to be well-placed for my fumbling, arthritic hands.

However, being a particularly proud owner of blind spots, I have found this camera to be a bit too sensitive for my liking. I've had to adjust the sensitivity a bit during my testing, but it is still prone to a few false sweeps, especially when I am driving slowly.

I also wish the camera came with a Micro SD card instead of an internal memory. It is small at only 256 GB at the maximum, which is not enough for today's high definition videos even when you compress them a bit.

I found that this camera has a bit of difficulty turning on and recording videos? Please see the owner's manual, especially in the troubleshooting section! This was my one major gripe, but on a positive note, I've come to realize that a camera cannot be perfect and will always have its share of complexities.
