Pros:

  • ERGONOMIC DESIGN- featuring an adjustable design, you can change the angle from flat to a 5 degree tilt. This keyboard is made with your comfort in mind and your wrists can thank you later
  • FLEXIBLE & SHAPED CURVE- The natural curve of this keyboard is designed to fit your body and keep you comfy while you work. The cushioned palm rest further strengthens the comfort of this keyboard
  • HIDDEN TRAY- The hidden tray is a convenient and easy way to keep your mouse with you at all times. The rubber grip prevents it from sliding, and you can stow your mouse inside protecting it from dirt and dust.

Cons:

  • Battery- the keyboard requires 2 AAA batteries that are a little difficult to install
  • Keys- the keys are touchy and sometimes require added pressure to pop up or type
  • Overall Design- the overall Design and concept are great, but there is no backlighting feature which makes it dark and difficult to type in low-light environments

Several years ago I first wrote about this keyboard. I think it's still one of the best keyboards I have ever used, and I use a lot of keyboards!

The Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard for Business is a split keycaps keyboard designed to encourage a more natural, relaxed typing position.

The split keyset design on the keyboard makes it so that the keys can be set just above your hands, with the base of the keyboard being where the feet would be if you were standing up. Therefore, your wrists and forearms aren't being constantly twisted and bent. Instead, they can rest comfortably. I use mine at my desk as I type this blog post.

The keyboard has a cushioned palm rest to keep your wrists comfortable as well.

At the number pad, it has a number pad right below the main keys instead of a separate Fn and Print Screen keys. Instead, there are separate keys for Home, End, PgUp, PgDn, and Del.

But the best feature on this keyboard is that it comes with the natural arc layout, which is just a smart name for the split keycaps designed for more comfortable typing.

This keyboard is not only sold under Microsoft, but also under OEM manufacturers such as Askey and Fiserv!
