Ventures Inc. proved again that they really know how to create rugged, durable, and most importantly affordable products. The Campark ACT74 is another rugged innovation, but at a fraction of the cost and size of the current industry leaders.

This action camera film is hardy enough to handle the punishment most of us give to our equipment and is small enough to require minimal storage space. This really is a rugged-action cam, if you don't believe me, just check out the video it produces.

This action cam is made to attach to your helmet and it has 2.4GHz wireless signal, waterproof, water-proof case, external microphone holder, charging diagram, carrying bag, and an action camera hero book. This cam has an LED light attached to the front that's great for recording dim light.

You aren't going to need the external microphone holder because it only supports waterproof mounts. I wouldn't worry about using the external mic and winding up with a case mess. Just use the internal microphone with the water-proof case.

The dual battery system on this cam is not another gimmick like they are in some other digital cam cams. When the first battery dies, you just plug it in and you are off to the races again.

The low light mode on this action cam is pretty amazing. I had no problem capturing decent video in the pitch dark of night with this cam. I highly recommend this camping and action cam for most male users, because it's hard to match the rugged features in any other camera.

The last caveat that I have with this cam is the name. It belongs on a list under GoPro, but if you really took the time to get to know this cam, it's not as similar to the Gopro as you might think.

The new upgraded version of this cam would be the ACT74-Inline, which is waterproof to a depth of 40 meters. The new water-proof case would also work with GoPros, and it encloses the cam in foam to keep it safe. An additional reason to own this cam is that it's capable of recording at up to 4K resolution or 3x Ultra HD video.
