I'm always in the market for a new keyboard, but this type of thing can get positively ridiculous at times. The Velocifire TKL02 Mechanical Keyboard TKL 87 Key Tenkeyless Ergonomic with Brown Switches, and White LED Backlit for Copywriters, Programmers and Typists has caught my attention.

It is a compact keyboard, designed for people who work on computers quite often. The keys are a tad smaller but still have a great action and are very quiet. This is a mechanical keyboard and comes with blue switches.

I love that it is a tenkeyless (no numeric keys) keyboard, as I find such keyboards to be fantastic for programmers and writers. It also is the perfect keyboard for the tucked away user.

I love the simple design and the fact that it is compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems (MAC OS is not fully supported).

One of the biggest benefits of the brown switches is the low noise and light tactile feel.

For those who are worried about feeling the stock blue switches without having used them before, the brown switches are a great place to start as they have more of a "bump" than the typical "click" that most mechanical keyboards tend to have.

For all you coders out there, this is the perfect alternative to a standard membrane keyboard as it is much quieter, but the same typing feel as they do not have the "clicky" switches.

I love the simple design that makes this keyboard so nice, and as you can see, it doesn't take up much room at all.

This product is primarily for people whose primary computers are a laptop, or a netbook. If you are a programmer, author, copywriter, or even an editor who spends many hours typing each and every day, the Velocifire is a great way to have better typing accuracy and speed.

All said, Velocifire mechanical keyboards are for the most dedicated and speed-oriented tech enthusiast!
